Introduction

Hello all,

Well this is my first blog/first post, so hopefully it will be a good blog and you will enjoy it = D. Ok well let's get to work. I'm reading a book called Girl, Nearly 16 Absolute Torture. It's written by a lovely lady by the name of Sue Limb. The main character is a girl named Jess. She lives with her mother and her grandmother. From what I've learned so far her father is still alive and her mother and father are separated (I don't know if they were married or not) and her grandfather is dead, her grandmother has actually been carrying around his ashes in a urn. Also so far I have met Jess's best friend Flora, and her (secret) boyfriend, Fred. Her mother is planning a trip over summer to go visit her father along with visiting some "historical" places (her mother is really into history). So the reason why Fred is a secret is because her mom is really tough with men and Jess is scared of telling her mom for the fact that she would not accept him. ( I haven't heard what exactly happened to her mom but it must of been something very traumatic). Jess doesn't want to go on this trip her mom is planning she just wants to spend the summer with Fred. Jess has these crazy little scenarios in her head about Fred going off with some girl that she thinks is prettier and skinnier. So far it has seemed like a pretty good book, I'm excited to continue on and see what happens in this trip, if they even go on the trip, etc. Thank you for reading, I hope I've been clear enough for you to understand this. If you have any questions ask and I can hopefully answer them for you.

Well now I'm off to go practice clic two my try out is tomorrow and I'm so nervous about it that my hands literally just started sweating just from thinking about it (gross). Wish me luck. = )

  1. First of all, I hope you do good on your try outs ! :D

And moving on, the book sounds really good so far. It's something I would definitely want to read. I feel bad that Jess has to have a secret boyfriend because she's to afraid to tell her mom. I do agree with you about her mom having some traumatic experience with men, that would make a lot of sense. I also think Jess has some self esteem issues if she's literally imagining her boyfriend hanging out with some snotty skinny girl, but then again who doesn't think about their lovers sometimes.

So far so good :D !

  2. Eww, chick books. I hate em', i can't handle all the drama, but it seems like there are tons of drama going on, and problems to be seen. Is this something that all girls experience? Because i wouldn't know. :P I'm pretty excited to see how all Jess' problems turn out and her mom and dad.

    anddd, good luck.! :D

  4. Haha the book sounds cool. Little hard to follow it sounds. I think that her mom and dad aren't together because of something he did to her?? maybe? maybe not? I think she should just tell about the boy. if she doesn't like him now then she might later and if she ever finds out she's just going to be mad that she didn't say anything.
